The Institute of Education Sciences (IES) awarded $6 million to the Kentucky Center Statistics (KYSTATS) for the project, “Expanding Access to & Alignment of Education & Workforce Data to Inform Policy & Practice.”
The U.S. Department of Labor awarded a three-year Workforce Data Quality Initiative grant totaling $1 million to KYSTATS to enhance the Kentucky Longitudinal Data System (KLDS). KYSTATS will administer the grant with Kentucky’s Education and Workforce Development Cabinet (EWDC) to expand the breadth of workforce data and increase capacity to align education with additional workforce data in the KLDS.
KYSTATS received a three-year U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) Data and Technical Assistance (DATA) grant totaling $1 million. KYSTATS will administer the grant with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) to meet Kentucky’s goal of measuring the impact of the employment and training programs and identify effective strategies for the alignment between social service, workforce and education programs.
The Employment & Training Administration (ETA) awarded this grant to Kentucky to develop & disseminate state & local workforce & labor market information.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) awarded this grant to collect & produce information on Kentucky employment statistics.
Kentucky was awarded a one-year federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Preschool Development Grant - Birth through Five (PDG B-5). KYSTATS will administer the grant with the Governor's Office of Early Childhood. The purpose of Kentucky’s Preschool Development Grant is to strengthen its comprehensive early childhood system.
